Going Bowling
For the sixth consecutive season the cougs are going bowling. It's a familiar sight for the jerseys in blue and no its not vegas. On the 18th our favorite team in blue will square off in Albuquerque in the New Mexico Bowl. University Stadium seats 38,634 with natural grass and has in the past hosted concerts with Metallica and even the Rolling Stones. Come support the cougs and enjoy some warmer weather. Gates typically open an hour and a half prior to the scheduled played time. The tailgate lots open about 6 hours before scheduled gametime. Signs are allowed provided they are of reasonable size, contain no advertising nor offensive language/material and cannot obstruct view of other patrons. Fans who aren't able to travel will be actually able to watch the bowl matchup on ESPN noon (MT) which will kickoff this years bowl season. The cougs have 28 bowl appearances including 5 straight in vegas winning three of their last four. Station KVIA out of El Paso Texas is reporting that UTEP is the likely opponent. If true the miners have lost last 5 of 6. Consider they also had the 127th toughest schedule. Could be a sweet springboard to next season. Time will tell who the opponent is but bottom line the cougs after all they've been through this season the jerseys in blue are still going bowling.
